What To Expect
Meet your driver and guide outside the Reims train station, and climb aboard a comfortable minivan with a small group of fellow wine lovers. Take a scenic drive through the vineyards and along Epernay’s famous ‘Avenue du Champagne,’ where you can see the houses of Moët et Chandon, Perrier Jouet, Pol Roger, and others and hear what sets these prestigious brands apart from other winemakers.
Follow the journey of the grape from vine to bottle on a walk through the vineyards of either Moët et Chandon or Billecart-Salmon, and learn even more about the complex Champagne-making process with a tasting class at a restored Champagne house.
Continue on through the region’s fertile, rolling hillsides to reach a boutique family winery, where you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at operations on a guided tour of the facilities including the grape press, vat room, and aging cellars. Taste several of the estates most popular cuvees, and purchase a bottle or two to take home if you like. With the bubbles still dancing on your taste buds, say au revoir to your guide back at the Reims train station in the early evening.

Amazing value for money. Tour guide Lisa was great, learnt so much from her. The tastings were so well organised and not rushed.
Lunch was fantastic, we were totally blown away as wasn’t expecting much. Big compliments to the in house chef.
The family run champagne house was great and very interesting.
A brilliant day out, we had a great time.

Great trip around the Champangne Region. An intimate and family run Champagne house visit. The family were friendly, welcoming and the champagne was delicious. We drove past Champagne avenue-it would have been nice to stop off for a ten minute walk. The lunch was delicious and the Champagne tasting was fun and informative! Great tour guide! Overall a great day!
Response from Host , May 2022

Excellent tour, well balanced between big champagne houses and small ones. Interesting and fun champagne masterclass and lovely private lunch in the beautiful backyard of Ay chateu. Perrine is an excellent guide. Absolutely recommended tour

Excellent introduction to Champagne

This tour is an excellent introduction to Champagne - both to the area, the drink itself, and how it is produced. Our guide, Martin, was friendly, knowledgeable and funny, and quickly managed to bring our small group together in a way where everybody felt included. In addition: a wonderful lunch and plenty of champagne. Highly recommended!
Pleasant Day in Epernay

I'm not a fan of bus tours but this was a good option for travelers to see the Champagne region. Our guide Jerome was charming and knowledgeable. The vineyard visit was nice but was more of a stop and enjoy the view rather than a walk. It also would have been nice to actually get out of the bus and walk down the Avenue du Champagne rather than a quick drive past. The tasting class was a bit of fun but was really just a self guided aroma and winemaking steps test. We tasted some nice champagnes but there was little in the way of actual explanation of what we were seeing, smelling, tasting except for the variety of grapes used (which is on the bottle anyway). I guess I was expecting more of a "class". Lunch was adequate - nice cheeses, salad and cold meat. Plenty of champagne and red wine to wash it down. The afternoon small family run winery tour was the highlight of the day - with further tasting in a great setting.

Amazing tour of the Champagne region!

We had an absolute great time on this tour. Our tour guide was really great, very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the champagne making process, history of champagne and how to detect different flavors. There was ample champagne drinking at both locations we stopped at (probably 9 or 10 samples).
Great!

There were 8 people in our group. Martin, our guide, was super great. Plenty of champagne to drink. All very good. We met wonderful owners of the champagne houses. Countryside was beautiful. My only complaint was I wish we could have been outdoors more on such a beautiful day. Perhaps lunch outside.

This Champagne tour and tasting was the highlight of our visit to France. Our tour guide, Martin, was charming, grew up in the region and enjoyed sharing his knowledge about Champagne. The Tasting 101 lesson was fun, interesting, informative and delicious. The Champagne paired lunch was superb and served in a warm, cozy setting. The private tour of a small Champagne producer was extra special and personal versus commercial. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Champagne!

Drinking Champagne in Champagne! This tour was so much better than the trendy Vueve Cliqot and Moet tours. I enjoyed so much getting to freely sample the champagne from smaller champagne houses and visit the caves. I even brought back a few bottles that I could never get in the states. This tour was one of the best tours I've ever done! A wonderful and unique tour with just 7 of us. I felt special, unlike most of the touristy champagne venues.

This tour was one of the best tours I've ever done! The guided tour throughout the region was fantastic! The class on how to make champagne was amazing, we learned so much! I already have and will continue to recommend this to any of my friends going to Paris. Excellent opportunity to get out of the city and into the champagne region. Despite all of the amazing things we saw and ate in Paris this was the highlight of our trip to France!

A wonderful half day experience. Mathias was very accommodating when I called to let them know my train was arriving late. Martin gave me a full rundown of the process of making champagne which was engaging and interesting. We had two wonderful tastings, and did a tour of a small winery. Excellent
