This trip was fantastic and the tour guide Yona was simply the best! She was so accommodative and even helped me to get my ordered lunch when I did not have enough time to go for boat excursion at Jokulsarlon Glacier. Two thumbs up!

It was a very good tour and the tour guide was great. The only things I would change is the distance and weather, but that is completely out of the tour guide’s control. Highly recommend Also found a vegan sausage at the lagoon which was very good.

Amazing Experience!

As everyone else said was a very long day but with all the stops it didn’t seem like a 15 hour day. My only complaint was it was roasting, brutally hot in the shuttle bus the entire time and several people said the same thing. I never thought I would say I was hot in Iceland but that was a long ride to be so hot! The food wasn’t the greatest for lunch stop at a gas station but dinner was a great stop in Vik. Highly recommend this tour.

Awesome guide and enough stops along the way. Even though the trip is about 800km it does not feel like it.

This was a c15 hour trip, but the bus was comfortable and warm and there was plenty stops along the way (photo ops and comfort breaks) Our guide was great; knowledgable and a passionate Icelander. Plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the views and the history.

Simon, our tour guide went above and beyond to make our day memorable. It's a fantastic, must-do tour!!! We first stopped at Seijalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall that set the scene for the rest of the day. We then went to the church at Vik. It’s up a hill and it’s the meeting point for the community of Vik in case the Katla volcano erupts. The views are fantastic from this point and you can even see the Trolls from there! We also learned from Simon about the Netflix series Katla, which describes the eruption of Katla and how it affects the community. Watching the series in Iceland was a fantastic addition to our trip. We then started with the gastronomy part of the tour. Simon took us to an old American school bus owned by a British lady that decided to serve the best coffee and hot chocolate in the area. We had the hot white chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Fantastic! On our route to Diamond Beach we saw many stunning waterfalls. Simon was very careful to announce them before hand, so we didn’t miss any of them. The Diamond Beach was our favorite part of the tour. It’s a black volcanic beach with beautiful pieces of ice that shine like crystal. Just that place is worth the trip. We stopped for lunch at a fish-and-chips food truck. What a treat! The best fish and chips you will ever have. We then went to the glacier lagoon, where we saw pieces of glaciers floating and shining blue. It was like being in another planet! And to end the trip on a high note, we stopped for dinner at the Soup Company for a Red Hot Lava Soup, a spicy meat soup served it in a black bread bowl. Not only was it a complete experience, but the bus was super comfortable, with all amenities like strong wi-fi and charging ports for your cell. Simon is very safety conscious, an excellent driver and scheduled stops to make the long trip safe and pleasant. We cannot recommend this tour enough. Not to be missed if you go to Iceland.

I booked this last minute and had no idea what to expect. Pick up was easy; the bus was comfy and warm, and the driver / guide was one of the best things about this trip. Jacob was knowledgeable, funny, and a very good driver despite some serious weather over the mountains. As to the things we saw, I don't have the words to explain quite how incredible it was. Sight after sight, each as or more incredible than the last. The environment changing every mile. Yes, this is a very long trip, but it is far less crowded and our driver Jakob was amazing. A real modern skald, keeping alive the trading of story telling and entertaining us between stops. There were plenty of stops, lots of time at each location. Just book it.

Glacier Lagoon- short and sweet
NORMA_L
, Feb 2022
It was such a long ride to the glacier with only a brief time to spend there to take in the scenery and snap photos. But it was enough time spent also accounting for the weather changing every few minutes. We got enough stops for restroom and meal breaks to cut into the long journey. Our guide Mr. Howser was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained while also allowing periods of silence for tourists to sleep and or admire the views. Our driver Tomik did a great job with his safe driving. Good times. Thumbs up. I did wish that we had more time to bundle up this tour with another itinerary however the ever changing weather conditions kept us also changing plans.

The glacier lagoon was spectacular. It is a very long drive but the view is totally worth it. We got stuck in a storm on the way back and had to be helped by search and rescue who where amazing. Our tour guide Siggy was so calm throughout and really made everyone feel safe and secure despite the uncertainty. We where taken to a local hotel and helped by The Red Cross who provided blankets whilst we waited for the weather to clear so it was safe to drive back to Reykjavik. Please pass on our thanks to Siggy for his help and calm manner during the storm he was amazing in very difficult circumstances.
