Once at the Cemetery, please enter the main gate, drive down the hill to the bottom, make the very first right, then make the next right (approx 25 feet) and park on the shoulder. Your guide will meet you in the cul-de-sac.

  • Meet Inside the Cemetery - (drive down to the bottom of the hill, take a right, then your very next right into a little cul-de-sac where you will see the GemCar parked. Parking is available on the shoulder in the cul-de-sac.)
  • Two Cars total, so there is limited availability
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Most travelers can participate
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 5 travelers

Our tour guide Andrew made the history of this cemetery come to life. He was absolutely wonderful. A so-so guide would have been boring. He even gave us extra time. All of us - an older couple and a grown daughter - were enthralled with his presentation.

Andrew was a superb guide and kept our utmost attention as he orated historical facts and stories about the cemetery and the places we were seeing. We were in awe of our fore fathers and their individual life stories. We hope to do more research on the cemetery and it’s burial plots. We learned a lot of history and this tour was the highlight of our visit to Richmond.
