Skip the Line: Borghese Gallery Tickets

Showed up on Sunday morning to find out our tickets were cancelled; still awaiting refund. No response from Viator to help.

Feb 11: I have booked two tickets to visit the Borghese Gallery on March 10, 2019 - Booking reference BR-684209862, USD $78.36 Feb 18 I received the following message: Dear Customer, The Minister of Italian Culture has just communicated that all the museums will have a free entry from March 5th to March 10th. As a consequence of this decision, we cannot offer our services so we will issue a full refund. You need to go on the official site of the Borghese Gallery and make a reservation for your ticket. I apologize for the inconvenience Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate in contacting me. Thus, tickets are canceled and money will be returned. Mar 5 Message from Viator containing a question: Did You Print Your Vouchers? OK, I printed the tickets, being sure that tickets are not canceled and we can visit the gallery! Mar 10 Borghese Gallery: there is no operator from Viator (Operators from other firms are present). Your employee in Rome (+393925310350) confirmed that the tickets were canceled. In this case, why was the question (Did You Print Your Vouchers?) needed? But, the most interesting thing was further (Rather not curious but mocking): Mar 11 Viator asked me to Review your experience with Borghese Gallery Tickets Viator works great!!! And finally: where is the money refunding? I would like to say Best regards

The tour got cancelled and many of the title holders were not notified and were waiting for some explanations. Some received emails but as the subject line was not different than the other 100s of viator promotion emails, it got lost. One fine wasted morning thanks to incompetence of Viator. Ah, to get refund, you need to call Las Vegas from Rome and spend 40m on a call and then wait 7 days! Do Not use Viator

Person was waiting with tickets on time and place. All was well organized. Easy to book and good confirmation.

The Borhesec was spectacular. It should not be missed on a visit to Rome. The Picasso display was unexpected and actually idistracted from the beauty of the Borghese presentation. It did not compliment the pieces of the gallery. Picasso not withstanding, Borghese is breathtaking. Having said that, the reader should avoid Viator. Get your tickets elsewhere. There are many other vendors. We had a 1 pm appointed schedule to receive our tickets and the Viator rep never showed. We called the number on the voucher and got a recording that said they were not available. We decided to wait for the 3 pm group to try to speak someone from Viator and he was 20 minutes late, causing a the 3 pm group to panick because of our 1 pm experience. Fortunately the rep did finally show and he conviently had three unused tickets for us to use. Not a good thing to experience but disaster was ultimately avoided. The Borghese is worth the anxiety.

The Borghese Gallery has an incredible collection of art housed in gallery that is a work of art in itself. We met the agent with our tickets exactly on time and where we expected her to be. I am glad we chose to purchase tickets this way.

It was completely disorganized. Guide from Viator was late, she didn't organize the group, everyone was asking eachother, "what do I do?" Guide needs to be more organized. Eventually left the group did our own tour. Complete waste of money!

The woman who provided the tickets couldn't have been more kind or helpful! She answered all questions and was efficient and wise.

First of all, we were not met by a individual as stated and we had to talk to some person who told us we had to make a phone call. When finally making contact, we were told our tickets were in a display at the front of the building. Next, we were a group of 8 with prepaid tickets and received only 7. This was resolved after speaking with more people. This was a hassle and more disappointment came when less than half the exhibits were open. We paid full price and traveled from USA to see this. Our group of 8 were all upset. The only thing we were told was write it in our complaint book.

Viator really charges a lot. Ticket price is 15 € and Viator adds 19 € for only avoiding the line!!!!! A rip-off!!!
