Turned out to be a very expensive speed boat ride. The first 30 minutes or so, there was very concerted effort to slow down and circle and find whales. Beyond that, we slowed down a few times to admire Deception Pass bridge, eagles nest, birds, and seals. All nice things on their own, but wasn't the point of trip. Guides were knowledgeable, but only if asked. My Alaska whale watching experience had constant information coming over loudspeaker and multiple attempts at whale finding. Not the case with this. Give it a 2 star rating

The whale watching trip was just amazing! It was a first time for me and my family. The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they asked other guests to make way for the little kids, including my 7 y/o so that she could see the whales. Would absolutely recommend them!

The crew was great. They knew all about whales and could answer all our questions. They were very friendly. We saw lots of whales including a gray whale and a mother and newborn harbor seal and it was a beautiful day. They spent a lot of time letting us watch the activity. I would most definitely recommend this.

Had a wonderful time with Clint, Brittany, Drew and the porpoise prince as guides. Very informative and fun. Rode on top on the way out and the wind was crazy and cold. Advise riding inside unless your dressed appropriately.

Cool orcas

Finally saw an orca breach!! I do wish they’d had a little more heated areas. Towards the end , I was so cold it was harder to enjoy. My advice is to take ski boot toe warmers and hand warmers!! Not the boats fault however!!

Boat excursion!!

We really enjoyed our trip. Matt, Tiffany, and Dana did an excellent job of keeping us informed of anything they saw. Tiffany was very knowledgeable on information concerning the wildlife and all the things we would/did see on our boat excursion. I would recommend this trip and this company to anyone. And we are hoping to someday make this boat trip again in our near future.

Extra
Steve_S
, Apr 2022
Whale sightings had been scarce this week. Captain Matt on the Blackfish 2 went extra miles and extra time to find a transient pod of Orcas hunting past Victoria. Still took time to cruise slowly past Spieden Island to see the exotic sheep and deer on our return.
