Friendly and fun guides, but the trails and waterways were packed with people. Litter around the swimming area. Spent a lot of time waiting in one line or another. It’s a beautiful place but tourists have taken it over.

Off the beaten path? It was packed with tourists and locals. I expected more of a hike, and not being around so many people, because that's what it states. Didn't get any snacks, and we got one small bottle of water.

Amazing tour!

This tour is so much fun! You need to be physically fit for it and I highly recommend to pack a hiking shoe, a water shoe, a towel, a water proof phone case, a water proof jacket, extra face masks and one full change of cloths. A life-safe jacket is provided for both parts of the tour. The first part takes you to the forest where you walk through a muddy trail to the water pool were all water activities take place. Jason our tour guide was very nice and so much fun! He gave us all tips required during the drive to the forest and we were advised to keep everything in the bus which is locked while you are away, and not to take anything other than the phone and the phone case. No watches, sun glasses, hats or jewellery! I kept my id, vaccination card and a small bill of cash for lunch and tips, and all were safe while we were in the forest. In the forest, you will be climbing rocky trails to the top where you slide down into the pool. I must say that the tour guides where phenomenal! One was in the water waiting for each of us in case needed assistance after the drop, while the other was on the top giving instructions. The second activity was jumping off a cleft into the water, and you are given 3 options based on the height you want to jump; 5,10 or 15 feets. This was my first jump ever and I did the 15! Again they did the same which was very comforting to someone who is doing it for the first time. The third activity was a swing by a rope with a drop into the water. The guides took us videos of each of us and airdrop that at the end of this tour which was really nice of them! Once done, you will be then take by the bus to a lunch stop on a beach with couple of restaurants. I needed my towel to keep me warm till we reached. We were given 2 hours for lunch and rest before a second bus picked us to the second half of the tour . I did change while waiting for my lunch but you can dry on the beach too. We went to kayak and see the bioluminescence feature in the lake. Kayaking was in the dark and took 80 min in total. It was windy hence I appreciated that I had dry cloths on to start with. This phenomenon is best seen in a dark sky so avoid booking when it is full moon. You will be paired up with a partner on a 2 boat kayak for this activity. I had my water shoe, phone case and my jacket for this and it was fun. Overall, this is best tour I have been in. Totally worth it!

Watersport and kayaking tour

The tour itself was not a hike but a watersport/adventure tour where you got to a little into the forest and jump into pools or slide down rocks into pools. We were expecting a hike through the rain forest but it was barely anything other than a water adventure tour for younger people. We were in a group with 22 young ladies and therefore it took forever as most of the time was waiting for everyone to get into their jumps or slides. The bio tour was better as we got to kayak and experience the phenomenon in the mangroves and kayak back.

The tour experience was amazing! Our tour guides Jordan & Elias, we’re extremely friendly and explained what the day would look like from the moment we got on the bus, which picked us up at our hotel (super convenient). They also took pictures throughout the day and then offered to send them to the entire group. Same thing with the BioBay tour guides, they were super friendly, explained everything, and made sure everyone was having a great time. Would definitely do this tour again!
