I had such a lovely experience on this hike! One of my favorite things that I've done so far while traveling around South America. The hike is challenging, but so worth it. The company was responsive, very helpful with my dietary needs and my guide Miguel was wonderful. Couldn't recommend this more!

Great trip minus one administrative detail

The trip was absolutely fantastic. Hard hike for four days which we liked. Great logistics along the way making it easy even though rustic. Our tour guide, Luis, was from Baquainos Travel and Adventure, so Viator is just the middle man to hook you up. No problem, except that Viator doesn't allow refunds once purchased and if we had gone direct through Baquainos, we could have cancelled up to the day before. My girlfriend's knee was acting up and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to do the trip. The only thing we didn't like is Viator's cancellation policy. I'll go direct to Baquainos next time.

Great small group trek and a real challenge!

It was a great experience trekking through the jungle of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta for 4 days with Pedro, our guide, Andres, our translator, and Keisy, our cook from Baquianos!
I wanted a small group tour from the beginning, and found Baquianos. As opposed to other groups with 20-30 people trekking together to the Lost City, our group size of 12 was incredibly comfortable. You could get to know the people in your group that much better and get more out of the whole experience than just the trek itself. I definitely recommend doing a small group tour if you value this like I did. You can simply focus much better on the experience I have found.
I won't spoil you with stories about the trek itself or the Lost City - just be aware that this trek can be among the most impressive, challenging and rewarding experiences you will make.
I had a great trek, and was extremely happy with our guide team, who were the best and always helping out when we needed it.
Don't miss out on this trek if you've got the chance to do it!
