My wife and I do a food tour every city we visit but this was our first dessert tour. You would pay the cost of the tour if you purchased the desserts by themselves. These are basically full sized desserts. In addition to the food though you get three hours of history of the city. Why everyone who does a tour wouldn’t do this tour baffles me.

Enjoyed the tour, but did not align with online description. 3 of 6 desserts were special, but others not unique or noted part of Savannah.

Mothers Day Dessert Tour

We greatly enjoyed our dessert tour on Mother’s Day. The desserts at each place were different and most were very unique. We especially enjoyed the mason jar cheesecake at Tondee’s Tavern, the Puerto Rican coffee cake at East Bay Inn and the chocolate cake at Moon River Brewing Company. The shaved ice at Hokulia was refreshing. The last stop where we had a brownie with ice cream, was a bit disappointing. Would suggest adding a bit lighter choice for the last stop, something using more traditional flavors such as peach or pecan. Our guide was Rudy. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and was able to answer all of our questions. He made our experience very personable and fun.
