Leavenworth Christmas Tour from Seattle with Optional Sleigh Ride

The tour gets you in at 11:30 AM and departs @ 6:00PM. The main attraction of the town is the light festival at night, but because of how the bus schedule works, you only get an hour of the lights before departing. Most of the time is spent during the day, however all you can really do is walk the 2 streets which are lined with shops and not much else. If we were either able to get their early and leave later, then you could have ample time to do an excursion (sleigh ride, cross country skiing, winter hiking etc.). Note: Tour did not include any info on optional Sleigh ride, we had to call in and it was all booked anyway.

Had a great time in Leavenworth. A few items I would like to state. Since it’s a higher priced trip to Leavenworth. Instead of stopping at Safeway coming/going maybe set up with a bakery or other type venue.The driver shouldn’t use personal opinions about Amazon stick to facts. It was uncomfortable.

I am not happy with the tour I took on Sat 10th Dec, the tour was from Customize tours and it was the most horrible experience and I never taking a bus nor I will recommend anyone. Customize tour was not ready for the weather although I am sure they have been taking people every weekend. We departed at 8.05 am how ever reached Leavenworth at 2.45 pm which is 6 hours 40 mins to be precise , it was not because of traffic or weather conditions the driver was not ready for the snow and they didn't have their chains ready. the first time we stopped to put on the chains we waited for one hour, later again the bus driver stopped and this time he mentioned we had to put on the chains, and we were wondering what we did last time when we stopped for one hour. Again he took an hour to put on the chains and then on the way we stopped two more times to adjust the chain clearly the chains were not right and Customize tour was not prepared for the weather. Most horrible experience we wasted entire day in the bus and we hardly had three hours in Leavenworth which is not worth a penny. When we reached Leavenworth all the buses had their reserved parking except for ours so we were roaming again in the bus to find a parking spot. I spent total of 10 hours 45 mins in the bus . We didn't have lunch because we had to wait for like 45 mins just to get lunch which would cut our time further down from 3 hours to just an hour because it would take us at least an hour more to eat . Don't ever take this tour I wish I could give ZERO STARS because its not worth even one star

I am very disappointed about this experience... to only have 3 hours in Leavenworth and 12 hours total in the bus was not my way of having this experience. I understand the weather was a factor, however they should've been more prepared for the weather. Thankfully another passenger helped.

The Viator tours I've taken in Las Vegas or Seattle have always been a great experience. Since the town of Leavenworth only has its Tree Lighting on three Saturday's in December, I was worried that the trips would sell out, but luckily it didn't, and having a small minibus made it easier for our driver, Joe, to navigate the passes vs. the large full-size tour buses. There was more than enough time to tour the city and take a sleigh ride, have lunch, and shop. Highly recommended when the weather conditions (ie, snowy/icy roads) can be a challenge for anyone. Lots of rest stops along the way for breaks and food.
