Felt like the real thing!
, Nov 2019
Some of the people in our family of 9 scheduled for the banquet were a bit concerned that it might be "corny" ... but it wasn't corny at all! It was so well-done! The food was really good and we enjoyed eating with only our "daggers" or our fingers! The entertainment was superb - the entertainers were very well-rehearsed and we heard Irish songs, the most beautiful Irish harp I've ever heard, the violin and more. The "Lord" of the banquet was very convincing and it was hilarious to have him include guests from the banquet in his routine! (I regret not wearing medieval attire!) And, yes, the wine is "unlimited"!! The experience of actually feasting in a castle that has seen so much of history was an experience that I will never forget. I'm so glad that we were able to do this. 18 thumbs up!!
Wonderful time

We were treated with great respect, especially since we were walking with canes. We were seated at the end of a front bench to enable us to get in and out easily. The food and entertainment were very good. We enjoyed the evening.
Excellent evening!

We really enjoyed our evening. Fun music, great story line and wonderful performers. The story telling was fun and the food was great. A really lovely evening in an authentic castle. Some difficult stairs up and down, but nothing unmanageable.
Fun Medieval Banquet
, Aug 2019
We had a very enjoyable time at the Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet. The mead they served us when they first greeted us was very tasty, the main courses were spare ribs and game hen, the songs they sang sounded authentic, and the actors seemed to be having a good time, which made it fun for everyone!
Would Be Perfect If Less Cramped
, Aug 2019
The entertainment was delightful, the food was good, I'd really love to give it five stars. However, it was extremely cramped. They need to reduce the number of people at each table by at least four and spread the guests out a little. I was sitting so close to both people next to me that I was burning up the whole time. Also, even though I booked the dinner months in advance (in fact, only a few days after the date/time became available, as I had been checking consistently), our seats were terrible. We were way off to the side and sitting facing away from the entertainers. I couldn't turn around to watch very well due to being jammed in there so tightly. It's a shame, because it has the potential to be so good. All they need to do is book a few fewer people and it would be excellent.

Our third time at Bunratty Medieval night, all the way from New Zealand, and it won’t be our last. We bought friends with us this time and they thought it was fabulous too.

Super fun experience. It was a little crammed in the room, I feel like a few less people would have been more enjoyable. Good food, good show.
