The views of Tuscany are amazing and lots of stop offs for pictures. The winery was set around beautiful scenery with the wines and food on point. The sommelier at the winery was very knowledgeable and informative
Once In A Lifetime Experience…Like a Movie or Postcard

, Jul 2022
My wife and I booked a Vespa to share for this tour. The meeting location could use better signage, but Diego was welcoming. We arrived along with two families who booked Fiat cars to drive. A second couple arrived almost one hour late. We were a bit disappointed having to wait, but Diego was very apologetic, brought us cool water, and allowed us time to practice on our Vespa.
At one point during the ride (I am very slow), the group turned and I missed it. I was able to call the number on our reservation, and they connected me immediately to Diego. He came, and directed us back to the group. That was fantastic.
I am not a regular Vespa rider, so the rides can be a bit stressful at times. Nonetheless, the countryside is beautiful, the meal and tasting were wonderful, and the experience was once in a lifetime.
Diego did his best to make all challenges something we could overcome. I would highly recommend this experience.
Terrible and Dangerous

I traveled with my wife when we decided to book this tour. First of all, we arrive punctually, but, our departure was delayed around 1:30 hours due to a couple that had not arrived. A basic detail, the local where we were waiting, there was no water, food and bath. After registration procedures, the guide did a little drive training on vespa, in a circle lap. The guide didn’t warn us that the tour take place on roads with a high traffic with: Bus, cars trucks and a dangerous road with extremely dangerous turns. My wife had an accident, and to our surprise the guide didn’t have any first aid kit not even water to wash the wounds. The staff came out totally unprepared to care any inconvenience. Luckily, a family part of group shower solidarity and drove my wife motorcycle. The lunch and winery tour is simple and conventional but ok. When we got back from the tour, for my surprise, the manager of company, he did not even ask my wife if everything was ok or if she need anything, he only cared about the cost to repair the motorcycle. in short, the tour is not as simple and safe as the ad sells. I made an alert letter for the Italian authorities and notify the consulate to make anything to prevent new people from getting hurt with this company.

Must be comfortable to ride the vespa. Great views and the cities visited were nice. Make sure you bring water if you want some before the first stop. It got hot quick!

100 % recommended!
Not worth the price and an all day ‘tour’ I could have done on my own.

I gave this tour a 3 only because the sights are breath taking and cannot surpass the beauty of the Tuscan country side. I was under the impression that we were visiting several Chianti wineries and having lunch at one of them. We started an hour and a half late due to miscommunication with the driver to pick us up for the tour. The person on the phone was very rude to us as if it was our fault the driver didn’t arrive on time at the location we provided. We also had to pay 50 euro per person for our 10 minute round trip. We knew a fee was going to be paid for the transportation to the Vespa location but 50 euro per person when there were three of us in the van is ridiculous. We could have taken a taxi and paid 5 euro each or less but they don’t tell you the price for transportation. You also have to pay a deposit for the Vespa for Insurance which is fine however you provide your credit card and the papers with our card number were still on the counter when we returned from our trip so anyone could have come in and seen them. They also had difficulty removing the fee and actually charged us the 600euro for the insurance and had to refund this however my credit card charges an international fee that was refused to be refunded and an exchange rate so I was out almost another 150 dollars. The tour guides were not very personable. When we stopped at locations they had no explanation of what we were seeing or what building we went to. They basically disappeared at our stops. The winery was beautiful and the luncheon was good. The only downfalls to the winery is that we tried 4 wines but the list we were given had 10+. Why show us a list of wines you aren’t going to allow me to taste? It seems weird that they wanted to show us the wines but not allow a tasting of them to see if we enjoyed them but then at the end wanted us to buy bottles of those wines. We didn’t get to go through the vineyard at all as some photos on their website show which was sad. They rushed us out of the tasting as well basically as soon as we were done with our last wine. I am not sure if we didn’t see as much of the winery because the tour started late but it was late due to miscommunication on their part and having to fill out forms for renting the Vespa, give card and ID information ect that took almost 20 minutes per person. I wouldn’t recommend this company specifically but like I said the sights are beautiful and worthwhile the ‘tour’ is basically self guided and roaming around the spaces until the departure time. And don’t waste your time arranging transportation because it’s not worth it, just take a taxi if you choose to go.

Exploring Chianti by Vespa
David_N
, May 2022
We had a wonderful day exploring the Chianti region on a Vespa. We had a Vespa to share with my husband driving (he has motorcycle experience) and me on the back taking in the wonderful scenery. We stopped at some very picturesque towns in the region and had a beautiful lunch and wine tasting at a winery. Our tour guide, Mathilde, was very friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip laid back and enjoyable. The trip was great value for money and included a wonderful 3 course lunch which featured a lovely antipasti platter. I would highly recommend this trip when in the area. There is no better way to see this part of Tuscany than from a Vespa!

The scenery, the towns we stopped in and lunch at the winery was all wonderful and memorable. I would recommend the tour, but keep in mind you will be riding between 20 to 40 mph.

Riding a Vespa is fun anywhere, but nowhere more so than the Chianti countryside. Throw in visits to Poggio Amorelli, the Monteriggio castle, and a fine gelateria and you have a perfect day, all in the company of friends, and you have a perfect day.
Wonderful day in the Chianti hills with Diego
Logan_K
, May 2022
This tour is not to be missed. There were only 3 of us on the tour, 4 including Diego our tour guide who was very sweet and capable. It was a very personalized tour and our favorite so far during our time in Italy. You get to visit 3 different amazing, medieval hill towns and a beautiful winery where you have a generous lunch and wine tasting. Gelato and another hill town with a photo op caps off the amazing day spent cruising through the beautiful Chianti hills which cannot be beat. We drove through locations and saw panoramas we would not have otherwise seen on our own. A true highlight of our trip, cannot recommend enough. There were 2 of us on one vespa and we were both totally comfortable throughout the day and it was very easy to operate- don't underestimate yourself- you can drive a vespa and you should!

My wife really wanted to do a Vespa tour for her birthday but neither of us were experienced motorcyclists so we had a degree of trepidation. Our guide, Diago, did a great job of putting us at ease and breaking us in gently! We had a wonderful day! Diago had chosen some of the most beautiful towns and sights in Tuscany and we enjoyed arriving in style on the bikes! It’s a unique way to see the Tuscan countryside and also to get to places that you couldn’t reach easily by bus or train. The vineyard that we visited was lovely and the dining experience was wonderful and authentically Italian. We saw many places of interest and covered a lot of ground, which made the tour great value too. Diago was absolutely brilliant company and we had a great laugh out and about with him! Definitely one to repeat next time!
Response from Host , Apr 2022
There is a poor communication between agency through which we booked it and local tour operator. Missing alignment!

Aweful experience

, Aug 2019
My wife and I went on a Vespa “tour” on July 24th, 2019. The tour was absolutely awful. It was the worst experience we have ever had in Italy. Below is quick rundown of the terrible experience we had:
• The tour started 1 hour later than it should have
• The tour guides combined the Vespa and the Car tours together (which is false advertisement and not what we signed up for)
• The small cars that customer were driving kept breaking down and stalling
• My wife had to sit on the side of the road while the tour guides pushed the car up the hills because it would not start
• My wife was separated from me for over an hour during the trip
• The tour guides didn’t know what they were doing and were rude to us when we were complaining about the cars not working
• Leaving the winery, another one of the tour cars broke down – in this case my wife and I were stranded on the side of the road for 2 hours in the heat with no water!
• Finally after sitting in the heat on the side of the road with no water, the tour guides got a van to pick us up and take us back to the grounds
• The office manager was rude and would :not refund us our payment for this terrible experience
• The bus did not get us back to Sieana until almost 7PM! We were late for dinner with our friends and were covered in sweat from waiting on the side of the road for hours.
• When I tried to talk to the office, they gave me this email address and told me to contact via email.
This was the worst tour we have ever...

This was the worst tour we have ever been on. Tuscany is gorgeous and there are plenty of other tour options. Stay away from this one. Not only was our tour cut 2.5 hours early due to 'rain' (which the rain quickly stopped afterwards), we also had to wait over an hour for our transfer back to our hotel. We waited at a warehouse in the middle of nowhere without a person in sight to help us. It was like we were totally forgotten. The tour itself was extremely unprofessional. The tour guide made inappropriate racial jokes about the other people on the tour. The lunch at the winery was covered in fruit flies. We're avid travelers and this by far was one of the most unprofessional tours we've ever been on. We would give this a 0 rating if we could.

The vespa tour was definitely a highlight of our trip to Italy. The route we took was gorgeous and the winery and lunch were both delightful. Lucca, our guide, was very attentive and patient. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was because they were very short handed and it took an hour to complete all the paperwork and brief vespa training test before we got started. They also overbooked and has one too many people, so one of our party drove a vintage Fiat 500 rather than the vespa. Overall, a great time!!!

The tour and staff were very good. The only challenge was my wife was unable to ride a scooter because they did not have a scooter for a 5' person. Understanding this was off season I would suggest that Viator ask the height of each person to accomodate them for a scooter.
