Create Your Signature Perfume At Goodman Art Center, Singapore

So wonderful to create an individual and unique perfume. The girls are so knowledgeable about creating a scent that is balanced. Would definitely recommend this experience. Be prepared though for an enjoyable sensory overload.

I've been visiting Singapore at least once a year since 2008,so it is hard to find an activity to do in the island city-state that I haven't done before and would intrigue me enough to want to try. The Create Your Signature Perfume workshop is one such activity that intrigued me enough to want to try. It did not disappoint. Singli I hope I spelled her name right was a very patient and charming teacher. The workshop started with a little orientation, with the teacher explaining the steps involved in developing one's own signature perfume. Already the first part of the activity, which involves a personality test, was very informative and made the whole thing enjoyable. Indeed the perfume one would make after the whole workshop is over will be unique, as each person has their own distinct personality. I discovered something new about myself just by going through with the first steps of creating my own signature perfume! The perfume making itself can be a little daunting, as you have to literally sniff through 400 different scented bottles. This is the hard work part. And once I discovered what I needed to do, I realized that 3-4 hours allotment for the workshop was accurate. Essentially, there are 3 sample scents you can create during the workshop. That's 3 times you have to smell everything again and choose your various scent layers. If you have the patience and endurance, the hard work will definitely be worth it. The other thing you will need to make this experience worth your while are steady hands : And one heck of a counting ability. You will know what I mean once you try it I don't want to give out all the juicy details. In the end, you will appreciate the product of your labor all the more when you see that shiny bottle containing all your lovely personality inside. Personally, I felt triumphant after I finally saw the completed product and had it in my hands to take home. The best bit, if you ran out of your own signature scent, they could re-produce the perfume for you for a cost, just email them or send them a copy of the personality results with all the scents equivalent in it so they could copy your personality scent. If you like perfumes, have the patience and endurance and is someone who likes to do unique and different things, you should definitely give one a try. But try not to drink too much coffee before coming to class. You will need those steady hands.
