Paddle your kayak around the turquoise waters of the Virgin Islands National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the area's spectacular coral reef, home to a rich array of marine life.

Pull the kayaks up on a white sand beach and begin your hike under the shade of coconut palms and sea grape trees. Walk through Turtle Point's tropical forests and listen as your nature guide points out specimens of the 800+ species of plants along the way. Reach rocky outcrops that give spectacular views of the Durloe Cays and Hawksnest Bay. Look for local fauna like white-tailed deer, mongoose, and wild donkeys.

Don your snorkel gear and explore the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that is home to many species of coral, as well as sea turtles and stingrays.

This was a great experience overall! The hike was nice and not difficult at all. We saw different plants and the tour guide was very knowledgable about everything we walked past and what he showed us. The kayak was lengthy but not impossible and once we go to our snorkel spot worth it! We saw so many different animals and wildlife it was great! The second snorkel spot we docked at look like paradise. Finally the food included was amazing! Thank you to Brian our tour guide!

Eli was great! Very knowledgeable and personable, and paid particular attention to making sure that everyone on the excursion got to see and do what they wanted to do. Not at all rushed or hurried. we didn’t miss the first part of the excursion due to some miss information on the website, so be sure to examine your E tickets very carefully so that you know exactly where the tour begins.

The hike was easy and great views. The kayaking and snorkeling were fun! Zach was a great guide! He is knowledgeable and low key. (He wore Nike slides for the hike if this helps you decide footwear)

We booked about 2 hours before and it was absolutely no hassle! Once we got there is was about a mile walk which wasn’t bad because Nick talked to us the whole time. Once we got to honeymoon beach, everything was relaxing and our tour guy was chill. Everything went very smooth and they’re very informative.

The hike was breathtaking with the view of the island and sea when we reached the top. My eight year old nature guy loved all the great local finds and the guide, Kaleigh, was so knowledgeable. When we arrived at Honeymoon beach for the kayak part of the trip, everyone was so helpful. The kayaking was relaxing after the hike and the sea was beautiful. We saw sea turtles on the way over to the beach and bay where we snorkeled. Again, Kaleigh had so much knowledge of what we were seeing with the turtles, eels, stingrays, hitchhikers, and then we saw a treasure trove like the movie Nemo. It was awesome for the whole family. The only thing you should know is that after the kayak back, you need to take a shuttle to the end of the road and a taxi back to town, so have cash with you. Also, Bikini bar and grille is there so you may want to have lunch and an island drink!

Lovely day, some small glitches with viatour

We did this tour on a Sunday. Including us, there were 8 people in the tour group. You hike first, kayak out to a rocky beach, snorkel around there, kayak back to Honeymoon beach, chill/snorkel there. Then you can hike back to the visitor center or they can put you on a shuttle and then you can pay for a taxi the rest of the way back. We are a 34 y/o woman and a 73 y/o woman, both in good but not super athletic shape and we were fine hiking back. The kayaking was a bit tiring with the wind. Pros: - Beautiful views along the hike (about a mile) - Guide (Tyler) was friendly, chill, funny knowledgable about local flora and fauna - Get to snorkel in two lovely places. Much of the coral is dead :-( but that's not the tour's fault. Still see beautiful fish and sea turtles. - The beaches are gorgeous and pretty empty, you can only get to them by boat. Cons: -They don't tell you before you book that you may have to pay extra for parking/taxis. - A bit confusing about whether/where you can park to meet at the visitor center. - Annoying that when you book through viator you don't get the direct number of the tour company until after you book. The viator customer service line is outsourced ad can't answer any questions. - The food was mediocre... the mahi sandwich was a tiny piece of fish on a meh hamburger bun with lots of mayo-y sauce. Lettuce and tomato were fresh. Wraps might be better? And some cheese puffs. - The hike back (around 2pm) is very very hot. Tips: - Bring a towel if you prefer not to drip dry or kayak all wet. - Make sure to put sunscreen on your feet! Kayaking exposes them to direct sun. - Make sure to ask where you can park ASAP after you book. The gov't issues tickets (ours was $105 a couple days before our tour) aggressively if you park in the wrong place. - Most of the above concerns are actually with viator not the tour company itself. Maybe you can find a way to book directly through VI Ecotours?
