You Won't Be Disappointed!

Ivan was an exceptional guide! We feel so fortunate to have been on *his* tour given his 20+ years of experience and knowledge of the estuary and local wildlife. We had our sons, ages 7 and 11, with us. Ivan was super fun for the children and taught them how to call the howler monkeys. And the monkeys responded each time. Highly recommend!
Pineapple and monkeys

This was suck a cool tour! The only thing I’d change is adding a note that we need to walk through water to get to the boat. Luckily I had flip flops on but it was harder for those in sneakers! Ivan was a great guide and delivered an amazing tour with great facts and history. He is also an expert pina cutter!
Unbelievable experience with Iván an experienced tour guide and it shows!

Iván has been a tour guide for over 30 years and it shows! He has amazing eyesight superpowers and spotted two crocodiles from far away. He loves what he does and is proud that Costa Ricans are conservationists. His passion is to share his knowledge of the environment and the history of the area. He is knowledgeable about all the birds in the area the migratory patterns. He took us directly to see howler monkeys and ensured our safety and comfort the entire time. Thank you Iván for an unforgettable experience!
Howlers were highlight

Our guide (Ivan?) was knowledgeable & personable. He answered questions & interjected humor. He made the tour.
Informative and fun, but would go in kayaks next time.

I had a great time out on the water, searching the mangroves for birds, insects, fish and crocs. The guide was lovely. The crocs were shy that day but our guide made sure we found one. There was only one other person with me on the tour which made it informal and personalized. All in all a great couple of hours exploring and learning about fantastic nature. The only thing I realized throughout the experience is that the motorboats can't be good for the inhabitants of the estuary...I began to wish I had gone for the same tour, but in kayaks! The tour is dedicated to the nature and animals, after all.

I had a great experience during my ride up the estuary. The guide was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and terrific at spotting different kinds of wildlife. I learned quite a bit about various species and enjoyed the smooth, scenic outing.

A beautiful Blue Heron
, Feb 2020
They guide was good and he pointed out a smaller crocodile and some beautiful birdlife and monkeys but all in all the boat ride was a bit boring and not as spectacular as the website projected. Not bad though for $35.00 per person.
