An excellent tour, exceeded our expectations. We were lucky to see the mountain so clearly, which really made the trip special and memorable. The tour is very well organised and we had a very knowledgeable and amusing guide Mr Hera. The lunch on day 1 was very good in a lovely location. If you are not sure which hotel to go for, the Kowakien Ten-yu Hotel is exceptional - it is a brand new, h hotel and the rooms are exquisite, beautifully and comfortably furnished in traditional Japanese style, including everything you need to enjoy the onsen/spa experience even kimonos to wear in the dining room, if you wish!. The private spa bath on the balcony makes it very special. The staff greet you like celebrities. The included Japanese dinner is also an experience not to miss.
Day 2 is for you to do your own thing before taking the bullet train back, with all travel included in the daily pass provided as part of the package. We used the ticket to get to the train station too - be aware that it takes about an hour to get to the mainline station using this route but the taxis are very expensive! Be aware that the return train is for a set time, although you can use the same ticket on a later train no seat reservation but not an earlier one, so if you want to be back at a certain time, then request that when you book.
Tip: if possible, try to travel light for the trip rather than have to cart around your full luggage.

Not worth the money. No time at Mt. Fuji visitor center, rushed thru lunch, barely made short cruise and cable car. Prince hotel nice but limited to fish for meals and could not use hot springs because of tattoo. Should have been a disclaimer. Hakone free pass was not well explained.

This trip totally exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable, and she told us a lot of factoids about Japan and the Japanese culture on our way to Mt Fuji. Then the lunch was incredible! I was expecting a measly sandwich or something like that, but we were treated to a multicourse traditional Japanese meal in a most beautiful setting! The only two negative things I have to say about this tour are foggy weather that prevented us from seeing Mt Fuji nothing anyone could control, and feeling rushed all the time but that's typical of a tour. I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was really great! Our tour guide was super knowledgable and had very interesting stories. The only downside was that we had a VERY short time at each stop so it felt very rushed, which being on vacation you don't want to feel. The day we went was a very cloudy, windy, rainy day so we weren't able to see Mt. Fuji as we drove up. Luckily, we just happened to be outside when the clouds briefly cleared away and we were able to snap a few pics. This also happened while we were aboard the ropeway. It really and truly was breath-taking! The ryokan was quite nice and the Japanese baths were EXCELLENT. After a full day of rushing around in the cold and rain, soaking in the hot water was the perfect ending to the day. We chose the Hakone Hotel Kowakien EXCELLENT service! which had a family mart right next to it and the Yunessun close by, which was great for food and shopping. The Hakone free pass also allowed us to board any of the buses and explore Hakone to our heart's content! We were able to leave our extremely large luggages with the hotel bag check, which was great since we didn't have to lug it around. We were able to figure out our way to the bullet train and made it to the train just on time! It was a great trip and my only regret is that we didn't stay in Hakone another day. There was just so much to explore!

The 1st day was spent touring around Mt Fuji and parts of Hakone with a guide. The 2nd day was spent on my own with an all-day pass to roam around Hakone. I stayed at Yunohana Prince Hotel with dinner and breakfast. Great food, service, and hot spring. Room was dated but clean. Pricy but luxurious

I loved this tour. The guide and the company is well organised. Managed to see mount fuji just for 5 minutes because of the weather. But i won't get that chance if I didn't book this tour. Nice timing too. If you are focusing on Onsen spa then book Hakone Kowaki-en Hotel. This is very near to the bus and train stations too. If you booked Price hotel you might be lucky enough to see the mount fuji from your garden.

My guide was Reiko and she told us alot of interesting stories of Japan and Mt Fuji. It was a disappointing trip as we did not see Mt. Fuji. The lunch provided is really good! The hot spring resort is very comfortable and clean. Bullet train back is at 5.45pm so we did nt hv time to explore Hakone.
