Vancouver is a seaside city that should be explored by water. Hop aboard a zodiac boat from Granville Island on this afternoon tour and come away with frame-worthy pictures of iconic landmarks.

Get fitted into a survival suit during a safety briefing before stepping into the boat. Your knowledgeable guide shares historical accounts of Granville Island, the Eugenia Building, Bard on the Beach and the Burrard Street Bridge.

Cross False Creek and follow the shore along Stanley Park, enjoying boat speeds of up to approx. 25 knots (29 mph/46 kph). Stop near the Siwash Rock, an outcrop located near Third Beach and the Lion’s Gate Bridge, and learn about the history of the natural rock formation.

Explore Vancouver Harbour and gain insight into Canada Place, Seaspan, Lion’s Gate Bridge and more. Sail past the Ironworkers Bridge towards Deep Cove.

Enter the glacial fjord of Indian Arm, lined with granite cliff faces — this area is boat-access only and is surrounded by untouched natural British Columbia forests.

Admire the cascades of Granite Falls from the zodiac (no deboarding), followed by a brief stop at the north end of Indian Arm and the Wigwam Inn.

Turn around and enjoy close-up views of Silver Falls. Return voyage on the same route, and take in views of Stanley Park, English Bay Beach, the Sulphur Pile, Coal Harbour, the Twin Islands, Racoon Island, Buntzen Powerhouse and more.

Beautiful day out on the water!
Laura_G
, Aug 2022
We had a great time on this tour! What's better on a warm sunny day than being out on the water? We saw ton of bald eagles and stopped to see a couple of seals on the rocks. We even saw the enormous Mt Baker on the horizon! Our tour guide Laurence gave us a great history of the area from a view point you normally wouldn't get to see from the city. The trip back got a little choppy and was more of a roller coaster ride, which I thought it was fun especially since I was in the water suit they provided. A little salt spray was perfect for a hot sunny day! (Tip--opt for the suit! That ocean wind is kinda cold!)

Our tour guide Brett was very knowledgeable, funny, and helpful with taking touristy pictures of us at the sights. Still amazed by the fresh air, clear views, and the speed of the boat. Oh, and not to mention the little fact that we got to see the two eagles, a little glimpse of a seal, and also the water planes taking off and landing- all very close by. What a fun, memorable, and cool experience.

Our guide Jules was very informative and a great caption! Wishing we would have been able to spend a bit of time at granite falls to explore or get a bit closer to it. Over all though, a great afternoon.

We had an amazing day! The weather was picture perfect! Milk... gotta love his name... was our captain. He was terrific at pointing out all the highlights. Was a beautiful trip. Jules did a fantastic job driving and hosting tour. Would have liked to get closer to granite falls. Was beautiful but we were to far away. Sand beach and not many boats a float so no reason why we could not have a little disappointing.

Great ride, highly recommend. Auzzie Tour guide “Milk” made the trip fun and informative- thanks Milk. We saw bald eagles, sea otters, water falls. Tips for the trip- go to the bathroom right before lol and definitely opt to wear the red suits for colder weather through the Indian arm. I almost skipped the suit bc it looks bulky and hot…I’m very glad I decided to wear it. We got some rain and the temp drops significantly through the Indian arm. Suit was actually a comfort. Beautiful scenery on the way but a long trip back so be prepared for that.

A fun tour where we got to wear ‘space suits’ for protection. We saw marine life and interesting bridges. We also saw two hydro electric stations, one of which still operates.
