Navigate the Fraser River, the longest river in British Columbia, en route to the Pacific Ocean for six or eight hours of Pacific salmon and Dungeness crab fishing with a professional guide. This full-day salmon-fishing adventure begins at the Milltown Marina dock in Vancouver. After a meet and greet and short safety briefing with the guide, climb aboard a custom, 23-foot, offshore, sport-fishing boat and travel down the mighty Fraser River for a scenic boat ride to the Pacific Ocean.
Drop a few crab traps in season (winter, spring and early summer charters) and head off to some of the best salmon-fishing holes in the ocean. The largest returning runs of Pacific salmon in the world — including chinook, coho, sockeye, pink and chum varieties — are located here in Vancouver.
Learn the proven techniques of catching salmon and enjoy the many beautiful sights and sounds of Vancouver from the water. Along the way and while fishing, see a wide variety of the local marine wildlife.
At the end of the day, stop to check the crab traps. Then return to the marina where the guide will process the entire day’s catch.
