  • Due to Doge's Palace regulations, children under the age of 6 are not permitted inside the secret itineraries and therefore cannot take this tour.

  • The prisons and secret itineraries are not wheelchair-accessible, nor is the route suitable for those with walking disabilities or for pregnant women.

Great sounding tour but way too much information

The tour itinerary sounded great and covered all the main sights of Venice along with skip the line access that we wanted. However, the tour could have been condensed down, the guide was very nice and knowledgeable but we felt overwhelmed by too much information describing every picture on the walls and ceilings and as the tour went on you could see everyone just looking bored and wanting to end the tour which some people did and left the tour before the end.

Worth it alone for the Torture Room!

From a historical perspective, not gruesome or grotesque. Wonderful tour guide (Paulina, sp?) who answered every question we had and provided tons of background information. Tour starts strong with an in-depth tour of the prison cells and the class system in which it was based on. Plenty of stairs, sometimes quite narrow, but all on the Tour made it without a problem or hindrance. Some started to fade towards the end, but all smiles and accolades none the less.

We enjoyed this tour very very much. Iole, our tour guide, was exceptional and the perfect hostess for our afternoon together. We learned SO much and she encouraged us to ask questions and take pictures. Among many other things, she told the story of Casanova and showed us all of the places where he left his mark. When we visited the church, she kindly asked us to respect the no photo rule, which we did. She was very informative about the interesting facts of the church and its history. If you are looking for a interesting and informative tour of these beautiful places in Venice, don't look any further. And ask for Iole - she is great.

Mose was an excellent tour guide and made the information interesting not only to us but to our 2 teenagers as well. We loved hearing about Casanova and how he escaped. This tour takes you within the Bridge of Sighs and to see the darker side of Doge Palace while still allowing to see all the normal highlights. If it is hot out, bring a personal fan as there is not a lot of airflow in some places.

For average tourist there was too much info and many of the group started to drift off and talk amongst selves much of time could not hear tour leader. Lets keep to main facts and story, more to next item when group starts to drift. Very knowledgable leader but too much info leads to fast talking and kills the feed back.
